Every New York Fashion Week, starting in 2015, Refinery29 unleashes 29Rooms: an immersive funhouse of style, culture, and technology. More than an event, 29Rooms is a megaphone for imagination, inclusivity, and possibility in the form of 29 installations.
In 2016, Refinery29 partnered with Lady Gaga‘s Born This Way Foundation to create #ShoutOutKindness, a room asking its participants to pay forward kindness by writing kind acts on the wall and using confessional booths to post videos thanking friends for their kindness and nominating others to “shoutout kindness next.” The confessional booth portion of the room—showcased here—includes four iPads in private booths, each ethernet hardwired, enabling users to effortlessly record, review and text themselves their videos.
Scroll through nearly 1,000 user-generated videos from the installation at #ShoutOutKindness’ Facebook page.
